YEP Voices: Mapping the Young Education Professional's Career Pathway
Education continues to be a priority for our country as we look for ways to address the unique needs of 21st century learners. With the continuous influx of new policy, program and instructional initiatives, the “target” can feel as though it’s ever changing. Those most sensitive to the moving target are young professionals. As a result, it is vital to the health and integrity of any educational organization to understand the voice of young education professionals in the field and how to best support and position them so that they can be the torchbearers of excellence. Download the 2nd annual YEP Voices report to explore its most recent findings and hear from over 550 young education professionals.
"We hope those in a position to impact young education professionals will read YEP Voices and consider the implications for their work. It’s critical that we leverage the strengths that young education professionals bring to the field – and support their work culture, growth and development – so that they can continue to have a positive impact on organizational outcomes and be positioned for success as tomorrow’s education leaders." “YEP Voices: Mapping the Young Education Professional’s Career Pathway” is the second annual report from the Young Education Professionals (YEP), capturing the voice and perspectives of over 550 young education professionals from all sectors – policy, practice, and research – in all corners of the country.
The focus of this year’s report is on our members’ careers and professional aspirations: How do they access jobs? What do they most value in their careers? How long do they plan to stay in their current positions? Where do they see themselves in the future? What skills do they need to be prepared to take their next steps? Archive
